1/ Name of the Post : Junior Assistant (Head Quarter)
No of posts/vacancies: 01  (Low Vision /Hearing- Impaired/ Locomotor) 
Educational Qualification : Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree (Arts/ Science/ Commerce) from a recognized University .
Salary/Pay :  Rs 14000-49000, GP: Rs 6200

2/ Name of the Post : Office Peon (District Level)
No of posts/vacancies: 05  (Low Vision /Hearing- Impaired/ Locomotor )
Educational Qualification : Candidates must be Class VIII passed.
Salary/Pay : Rs 12000-37500, GP: Rs 3900

3/ Name of the Post : Office Peon (Head Quarter)
No of posts/vacancies: 01  (Low Vision /Hearing- Impaired/ Locomotor )
Educational Qualification : Candidates must be Class VIII passed.
Salary/Pay : Rs 12000-37500, GP: Rs 3900

Age Limit : Candidates must not be less than 18 years and not more than 43  years of age as on 01/01/2017. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ ST candidates as per Government Rules.

Following documents must be attached along with the application form.
  
i) One self addressed envelope of 5cm x 11cm affixing unused postal stamp of Rs.5/- (Rupees five) only. 
ii) Attested copies of Persons with Disability Certificate issued by Competent Authority. 
iii) Attested copies of all certificates in support of Educational Qualification, Age, Caste etc. 
iv) 2 (two) copies of recent passport size photographs duly self attested. 
v) Attested copy of valid Registration certificate of Employment Exchange.
Mode of Selection for Assam Transport Recruitment 2017 – Jr. Asstt. & Peon Jobs : 
Shortlisted Candidates will have to appear for written test and or viva at their own expenses if and when called for.

Important Terms for  Commissionerate Of Transport, Assam Recruitment 2017

a)  Candidates/Applicants must be a citizen of India as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India. 
b) Candidates serving in Govt. should submit their applications through proper channel as per Govt. norms. 
c) The incomplete and wrongly filled application form will be rejected and no appeal and/or correction in that regard shall be entertained. 
d) No TA/DA shall be provided to the candidate for appearing in the selection process. 
e) Any postal delay in the process of this matter shall not be a matter of responsibility of the undersigned. 
f) Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification and the authority may take any action as deem fit in this respect. 

g) Pension Scheme “Government servants joining the service of the State Govt. on or after 1st February/2005 shall not be governed by the existing Assam Service (Pension) Rules 1969 and orders issued there under from time to time. So far as their pension and other retirement benefits are concerned, they have been governed by a new set of pension Rules formulated in line with the Contributory Pension Scheme announced by the Govt. of India vide Finance Department Circular No. BW.3/2003/Pt-II/I dated 25th January/05”.
