NIFT Recruitment 2021(Mar): Post Details

Name of the post: Professor

No of posts: 42 (Contract: 21, Deputation: 21)

Salary: Level-13 (7th CPC)/ PB-4 [Rs.37,400- 67,000/-+ Grade Pay Rs.8,700/- (6th CPC)

Eligibility Criteria :

Age: 50 years
Educational Qualification: PhD from a recognized University/Institution in a subject relevant to any of the Competencies as mentioned in Annexure-B of the official advertisement, with at least fifteen years’ experience in a recognised University or Institution in teaching or research or in relevant industry.
Deputation vacancy:
Age: 56 years
Educational Qualification: Teaching Faculty in any recognized University/Institution under the Central Govt. / State Govt., holding analogous post on regular basis or with at least five years of regular service in Level-12(7th CPC) with PhD from a recognized University/Institution in a subject relevant to any of the Competencies as mentioned in Annexure-B of the official advertisement.

Application Fee:
SC/ST/PWD/women candidates and NIFT employees(working on regular or long-term contract) are exempted from payment of application fee. The candidates are required to pay application fee of Rs. 1,180/-(Rs.1,000/- plus GST “18% i.e. Rs. 180/-) (For those who apply through direct recruitment on contract basis only) through Demand Draft/ Banker’s Cheque drawn in favour of NIFT, payable at New Delhi. Demand Draft should have been drawn on or after publication of the advertisement. Applicant must write his / her name, address and post applied for on back of the demand draft. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process :
Selection shall be on the basis of the performance in the personal interview or any other criteria fixed by the NIFT.
