Hojai College , a premier college in the southern part of Nagaon district has issued a recruitment notification for Assistant professor. According to the Hojai College Recruitment 2017 , Applications are invited by Hojai College for one sanctioned  post of Assistant Professor in Political Science  Reserved for ST(H) and one sanctioned post of Assistant Professor in Zoology Reserved for ST(P) with full Bio-data and supporting documents from HSLC onwards (including Mobile No) from the candidates having UGC norms with NET/SLET/SET (as mandatory requirements).

1/Name of the Post :  Assistant Professor in Political Science
No of posts: 1 ST(H)
2/Name of the Post :  Assistant Professor in Zoology
No of posts: 1 ST(P)

Age Limit: 43 years as on the 1st day of the year in which the advertisement is issued with relaxation of 5years for the candidates.

Educational Qualification: 
a)Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant from an Indian University, or an equivalent from an accredited foreign University.
b) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the NET conducted by UGC,CSIR or similar test by the UGC like SLET/SET.
c) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clause(i) and(ii) to this clause 4.4.1, candidates, who are  or have awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D Degree) Regulation,2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
d) A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate or Master’s level of the Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled categories for the purpose or eligibility and for assessing good academic record. The eligibility marks of 55% marks and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure.




e) A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of marks to the Ph.D Degree holders, who have obtained their Master Degree prior to September 19, 1991.
